stalling

my 65 CL77 is new top end, valves adjusted, and ignition is checked - all good and proper.. Engine starts fine and idles OK but "cuts out" at twist of throttle. timed it at TF mark and points in good condition. Any ideas on whats happening. Air leak? fuel not there Image

When you say cuts out do you mean it actually kills

yes, the motor just seems to starve itself and it will die. Starts right back up though. Only very slow rotation of throttle will get the higher rpms. this is, of course no good for going up steeper grades as the maching will bog down. Thank you.
