Hi,
Please add your location, maybe someone near you can make the difference. Maybe a short introduction about yourself ? Maybe a short introduction about the bike ?, the history ?, how you got it ? any pictures of the bike ? A little more info doesn't heart, the way you ask this question won't solve your problem either. Did you read yourself in ? looked at an exploded view of the engine ?, did you try to locate the sound ? is there oil in the engine ? how does it look like ? The internet is a source of free information, but in the end it's all about the quality of the information you want / get. And in most cases the information you get is made of the same quality as the quality of how the questions is asked. One of the worst quality question is : the engine doesn't run, what is wrong ? And a good answer to that question is : It's broken, dump it or fix it. Well, I guess you understand why I don't try to answer your question. Why should I put more energy and words in formulating an answer then you put energy and words in your question ? Jensen assembly of Japanese motorcycles requires great peace of mind (Pirsig)
Hi I recently purchased the bike in Los angeles. The bike is in good shape and i have been slowly going through it,cleaning surface rust, tuning the carbs, replacing damaged parts such as the sealed headlight I also replaced the rectifier and battery to modernise the electrics a little
There is oil in the engine but i was thinking that an oil change would be a good idea. The noise seems to be mostly coming from the bottom end and is definatly not knocking. I read a little on here about the adjusting chain in there. I noticed the heat after i had taken the bike on the freeway and opened it up a little more than I had previously. I hope this provides a little more information, any advise or tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Joe Hi,
How hot is hot ? Oil in my engine is getting hot too after riding it on a high way. Does the engine sounds strange ? Is the kick starter still attached and working ? Does the kick starter shake while the bike is riding ? Jensen assembly of Japanese motorcycles requires great peace of mind (Pirsig)
