Looking for a CL165 carb float

Post by Dr. Frankenstein » Fri Sep 28, 2012 3:02 pm

Hi all;

Does anybody know where I can find a carburetor float (or a whole carb) for a 1966 Honda Scrambler CL165? Or is there a float that will work in that carb, from, like, a CL175, or...??
- or can it be repaired?

Thanks!

John

A CL165, huh? You may want to hang on to that bike. I suspect it is the only one Honda made. ;-)

Of course you mean a CL160. What's wrong with the float, does it have a leak? If so, you can purge the gas out of it and then solder up the leak.

Not sure if replacement floats are still available. If so, that might be the way to go if you float is too far gone.

regards,
Rob
