Early fork oil seals

Post by SwedeCL77 » Sat Feb 18, 2017 1:38 pm

I have got a 1965 CL77, frame no 100 7924, and is a bit confused over the oil seals for the front fork. Some sources say that that for early bikes part no 91255-273-00 is correct, but these are too small for my housings. My parts catalogue, printed in 1965, however, gives me another parts no for the early fork: 51622-273-000.
Any one out there that has any experience from this matter?

Welcome to the forum.

Are your lower fork sliders, aluminium or steel? That is the difference between early and late forks. Steel is the early version.

You should be fine with the parts listed in the catalogue. Maybe you could post some photos, just in case you have oddball forks on the bike.

My list gives the part as 91255-273-000 dimensions 35x47x10 mm
