MODIFIED SCRAMBLER at BONNEVILLE SALT-FLATS

Actually the only Scrambler part is the modified tank..............but several fellow racers recognized it and readily associated the bike with me...........just having some fun.

We only made 3 runs on the salt and have more tuning to do..........basically carbs.........but also want to install a programmable ignition to have a rev-limiter and the ability to retard the timing when getting to speed in top-gear. The motor is built but still qualifies for the 750cc size limit. The current record in this CLASS is 130-mph...........I plan to exceed that and going for 150+

OldScrambler, please check your messages (pm's) or go to your "clutch joint" thread and respond to my inquiries. I'm beginning to think I must have said something to piss you off. Really, I am just a fellow scrambler owner trying to chase down a few parts. Sorry if I've offended you in any way. I can't imagine how but you are the one that made the offer and I was just responding to it. You probably just have a lot going on and haven't had a chance to respond but please just let me know something.
Thanks,
Claude

Claude...............It takes a LOT to get me Pee-Oed...........

No message is apparent............maybe I'm looking in the wrong place..........but I have messages from others.

Yes, I have a lot on my plate............but as the weather warms I tend to spend less time sitting by the wood-burner next to my 'puter'........

Dennis is this from last year? I have not seen the 750 before, I see the SOHC4 decal.
Did you take the Tiger Cub again?

Yes........new bike for 2014...........and Yes, I tried to run the Cub but had shifter linkage problems so it got parked in the trailer. We left the salt on Wednesday knowing it would take more than one run to get the carbs tuned with unknown conditions for Thursday. I have a pending date with a local dyno-tuner and plan to return to the BMST with both bikes. I have a build thread at: http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=135473.0

Great looking machine! Thanks for sharing the pics here.

You know, you really should have tank badges that say 300. ;-)

Good luck on setting a new record.

Regards,
Rob
