Photo of brake switch mount on early 65 CL77 "small bra

Post by VincenzoM » Thu Jan 31, 2013 4:13 pm

Hello, I have an early 65 CL77 305 "small brake" Scrambler. The swing arm has a casters lugs like the CL72s. The mount that once held the brake light switch has long disappeared, I was wondering if I someone would send me a photo of what it is suppose to look like. I would like to make another one for my bike.

Kind Regards,

Vincenzo

I took this from one of my previous posts, it is of a 67 and looks the same as a cl72 I have here. I had to re- construct it with a washer and weld it in place.

Go to restoration projects, page 12 and see the photo on my post of that bike. hope this helps. Rusty

Rusty,

Thanks for posting the link info, that looks easy enough and also shows me why it probably broke off in the first place.

Kind Regards,

Vincenzo

Yes indeed. A pretty flimsie assembly at that. One day I'll have to engineer a stop that prevents this from happening. Rusty
