Flared fender on a CL77?

Post by pfroberg » Thu May 10, 2012 1:42 pm

I recently bought a 1965 CL77 with an quite early VIN no and intend to do a full restoration. What puzzles me a bit is the rear fender: on my bike the lower part is a bit flared, evenly on both sides so it can't be that it is just bent. Any one seen this before. Is it possible that I have the wrong rear fender?

Dear loud Mouse,

just to make sure that I get you right: what you are saying is that my bike´s rear fender is not correct?

The fender has been bent out at the rear since it left the HONDA plant.
The chain guard isn't correct for this bike. .........lm
