Lean, Mean and UglyNo good. No good at allWell, bad news. I pulled the motor last night. I went into this knowing it was going to need to be gone through, but what I found was appalling. The pistons are now permanently one with the cylinders. The clutch and most of the components in that cover are gone. I can't get in there to replace the jug and the pistons. Kind of a bummer. Thought I had a good starting point, but unless I can find a replacement, she might just be dead where she sits. Bound for an eternity spent in pieces.
Really all you need is the top engine case if you want to keep it a matching # bike. Find a donor motor, or a complete replacement. Craigslist ad, and / or an ad in the parts wanted section of this site. Try to find something local, as there motors are heavy!
