CL77 Gas Tank Capacity

Post by KJB » Tue Jul 05, 2011 6:07 am

Very basic question here. What is the gas tank capacity of my 1967 CL77? I have an owners manual on the way and hopefully it will tell me but I'm just anxious. I've been told I can expect to get 45-50 mpg with the bike.

My service manual just arrived today. Looks like the gas tank capacity is 2.77 gallons.

When I ran out of gas, I filled my 67 CL77 with 2 gallons. There was some gas in the tank, but the bike would not crank, so I assume the remaining gas was used to collect particulates.

I usually get around 50-55 mpg on mine (all backroads), depending on how much stop and go I do.
