Received my carb kits and good wishes from Mr. Mouse. Used his tune-up recipe from this forum. Attached a radio shack rectifier. Read Mr. Silver's timely carburetor review in the most recent VJMC magazine.
I have a gallon paint can with two nipples which I attached to the two carbs with fuel lines because the fuel tank is still in need of attention and I could not wait for it.
Wait for it..wait for it.. started up for the first time in over 30 years. On the second kick. I had it in the garage with no exhaust headers on it and my ears are still ringing.
Long way to go with wiring, cosmetics etc., but what a thrill. A seminal moment for sure.
