new to the scene and have a few questions

Hello everyone,

So I have been a motorcycle enthusiast since I can remember. It started with dirt bikes as a child and escalated to street motorcycles. The one working bike that I have is a '94 HD dyna wide glide. Also got a '81 hd ironhead that I am fixing up. I recently picked up a 76 puch moped that is in the rebuild process too.

I have a friend that had this blue bike stuffed in the back of his garage and when he was cleaning it out he asked me if I wanted it and of coarse i jumped on the chance. He had no idea what it was but after some brief investigating I figured out it was a honda... After getting it home I found the vin info on the neck and found out that it is a CL72. the motor says its a 247cc which matches up.

I know they made them from 62-65 but is there a way to tell what year the bike is?

I found a bunch of parts on ebay but are there any other recommended sites?

any information on this bike would be very helpful. I am looking forward to starting the rebuild.

First, welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find a lot of help and information here.
Congrats on your find, boy some people have all the luck.
List the VIN and eng #'s here and someone will gladly tell you the year of mfg.
And once again, let's see what you stumbled onto. RW
