Rear wheel Alignment problem

Post by big-b » Fri Aug 07, 2009 8:46 am

Hi i have a 67 305 scrambler that was purchased by my dad brand new. It was stored from around 1980 until 2004. At that time i got from storage cleaned it up and painted it and got it running again. The one thing that doesn't seem right is the rear wheel sits about 3/4 off of center to the right when looking at it from the back. The spacers are on the right sides, the chain looks to be running straight, the frame is straight, the chain tensioning screw are even on both sides, i'm not sure what is going on here. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Brian

If you are talking about the relationship between the rear wheel and the fender, funny thing, I just checked mine and my wheel is biased to the right about 1/2". I wouldn't worry about it, you could probably tweak the fender a bit. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this.

Mine's the same way, about a 1/2" to the right
