Throttle Housing Bolts?Throttle Housing Bolts? The throttle housing of my '66 CL77 has two bolts, same diameter but different lengths. My factory parts catalog does not identify these bolts. I need to replace the longer one...does any one have the part # or know what size it is?
The front bolt is a 5mm dia X 14mm long pan head; the rear one is a 5mm dia X 22mm long pan head (what the Parts catalog calls "Screw, Cross"). This is what's on my CL77 and mine are the old JIS thread pitch. The shorter bolt is the same one that is used to attach the left side horn switch upper and lower housings although the Parts Catalog calls them as 16mm long screws item 35 on the Handle Bar page p/n 93500-05016-02. I think the "-02" means chrome plated although mine aren't. You might e-mail Joe Tubbs at icemanjat@hotmail.com He sells the JIS screws on eBay as "iceman" occasionally
Throttle Housing Bolts?thanks a ton, gramey7....that's what i needed to know; this forum delivers once again!
Throttle Housing Pan Screws-updateFYI: after much searching to no avail for the 93500-05022 (JIS Thread)...i talked with Ohio Cycle and he told me 93500-05025 (JIS Thread) should work, without "bottoming" out.
well, for only $1 a piece...i went for it. turns out he was right! should be back on the road in no time now.
