CL77 frame/engine mismatch?

Post by rbaselt » Tue Dec 09, 2008 7:50 pm

There is a 1966 CL77 for sale with frame number 1021665 and engine number 1017088? Would these be correct for an original machine? They seem too far apart. Thanks, Randall

I would say they are way to far apart unless the factory had a really long day. Can you imagine one line going behind you with motors and another in front of you with frames and you snag a motor and turn around and place it in a frame. I have always heard two to four hundred but never thousand.
