I am liquidating a large collection of these bikes from the 60's for a relative. Some are quite rough and others have been restored. There are thousands of OEM new and used parts available. I do not have titles for all the frames and have had some trouble getting the DMV to title these bikes because I cannot verify the year of manufacture. I have been told I either need information form Honda or an expert opinion. I need help in determining year of manufacture. Additionally, I have a substantial project in front of me regarding sale of the parts. I am hoping for some advice regarding how I can match an OEM part with number to a particular model of motorcycle. I am looking at selling these parts online through various forums and eBay. I have had considerable success with an S90 project over the last month or two. Thanks.

If you have the numbers on the parts you can look them up at a Honda online site like CMS in Holland.

http://www.cmsnl.com

You'll soon get fed up doing that and may want to try and buy some genuine Honda parts lists. The middle number in the part number is the model code. i.e. S90 is -028- However many of the Honda models "borrow" parts from earlier bikes so the S90 may use parts from a C90 etc. etc.

This is a useful starting point.

As this is the Honda 305 forum we are all looking for parts with model codes:

253, 259, 266, 271,273,275 and 278 to name a few.

How about giving us a preview of some of your stuff?
