1961 CB77 for sale - is it correct?

Post by giuliettashop » Tue Nov 27, 2012 4:55 pm

http://www.westernhillshondayamaha.com/ ... eh=2748941

Site lists it as a 1961. Does it have all the right stuff? If so, $5999 doesn't seem so bad next to the one that sold for $4300 on eBay last week that needed a lot to be complete and nice.

Not a '61. Looks more like a 1965 model. What's the numbers?

They don't have the numbers listed. What are the different features it should have if it was a 61 305?

I agree, that's probably not a '61. However, I've seen that bike in person and I can assure you that (cosmetically at least) it's flawless. And Western Hills will most likely stand behind their work- they're one of the preeminent '60's Honda suppliers in the US if not the world and they know their stuff.
Call and ask to speak to someone about it- maybe the '61 is a typo? Although didn't '65 see the addition of the lipped seat?
'63 CA77 - Giving me all kinds of headaches.
'64 CA77 - Patiently waiting it's turn
'65 CB77 - A 'great winter project'

I'm in full agreement. 'Cap' type lower fork legs denote '65>. Definitely not '61 frame/motor/carbs/front brake/taillight.

Note that the swing-arm axle is in arse-backwards, as well!
