I am new to this forum.....and am FINALLY getting to the restoration of my 1968 SuperHawk 300. I am just learning (thanks to all of you) that the resources are available to help me get this bike back on the road (after 9 years in storage). It didn't hold a charge (with a new battery)....and I suspected the stator.....but I will try a new rectifier first. My main question is whether there are obvious differences between the 300 and 305cc parts. Can I use 305 replacement parts for my 300/ Any absolute no can dos? Be gentle with me.....I am new! Thanks for any responses. (The learning curve is gonna be steep).--Chris
PS Antbody know what the E on my motor serial # stands for?
1968 CB77E Restoration
300 vs 305The tank badge may say 300 but the engine displacement is 305cc.
The "E" stands for engine.
