cylinder vents?

Post by MANATEEBREATH » Fri Dec 28, 2007 10:24 pm

I have the original breather hose that runs from the top of the head, only had a slight split on the top end, spring clamp still on it. I trimmed it and reinstalled clamp. Original angle cut on bottom end is still there. Because it is so old the shape showed me the routing. still long enough to poke out the hole above counter sprocket.
I assume the 2 outlet nipples on the back of the cylinders are to have hoses routed to the air filters?
OH, its a cb77 sorry. 1965. I didnt find those hoses in any of my boxes.
also where should the bowl vent hoses dump out?
thanks.

hoses

Manatee,

Yes, hoses go to the filters if your filters have fittings for the hoses. If not, loop a single hose between the two barbed fittings to close the air circuit.

I believe I read where Loud Mouse said to leave the bowl vent hoses off.

OK with the top hose and the others at the inside of the carbs go to a "Y" then to the right side filter.
The carbs WILL NOT HAVE any tubes on them. .................lm

The "T" will make the bike correct but there is no problem using both air cleaner fittings. ........................lm
