Some help needed.

Post by half-finished-tzr » Sat Nov 11, 2006 7:41 pm

I am from england and it is SUPER hard to find the bike i have been looking for and all sell for $4000+ so makes it rather hard for me being 20 yearsold.

I have a honda cb175, like this Image
And i wanted to resore a superhawk like the one elvis rode in the movie "Rousterbout"

I have access to a work shop, and want to make the cb175 looklike the 305, so where is the best place to sorce parts like tank, headlight shell and bracket,

Any help is welcome,

Many thanks.

TZR, Welcom to the305 forum. I'd like to sugest your first stop here is the thread in this subject column about introducing yourself. That is a good start. You will also notice a subject about "wanted parts" that could help you in your search for parts. just 1 warning, don't expect alot of input on your 175,we perty much stick to the 305 models. not that we are jerks, just focused. Good luck with that project, hope you'll send some pictures. Kustommusic

hi, thanks for the welcome,

I would love a 305, But i really cant find one and even if i could it would be so much $$$$
what seems to be not so rare over in the u.s is like finding hens teeth over here.

I guess alot of you are purists. however i would really like some help as it is impossible for me to find anyone who knows anything about thses bikes where i am.

I think if you painted the side covers and fenders silver it would go a long way towards the 305 look. Some fenders from a CB160 0r CB77 would do it if you could find some.
