why 1 carb?

Post by 7 summits » Sat Oct 07, 2006 2:47 pm

Hi guys,
I just got what seems to be Honda CB77 1962, got it for free from one of the local farmers.
Upon the closer inspection at home, I noticed that there is only 1 carb, and there is no opening for the other one. still, the head has 2 cilinders with 2 ex. pipes coming out.
So what does it mean?
Thanks for your help, Martin.

Why 1 Carb?

Post by bill440cars » Sat Oct 07, 2006 4:08 pm

Hey, I've got a 66' CB77 with one carb and the reason mine is like that is because someone put a CA77 motor in it. Check the motor serial number and see. Or the head could have been swapped for a CA model head. Let us know what you find. I plan on converting my CA motor to a CB motor, if I don't happen onto a good deal on a whole motor. Later on, Bill

You are right, CA77.
Thanks for the help. M.
