Contemplating local CB77 SuperhawkWith a set like that, I usually weld up the holes and give it coat of Hi-temp silver on the affected area. It's always on the bottom, back side, so it's not like anyone ever sees it but me anyway. As far as keeping it from spreading, just keep it garaged and dry, and washing with the hose to a minimum.
Missed itI made the decision to buy, but it was a little too late (a few hours, actually). Perhaps it's for the best. Now I'll wait until the issues are worked out with my '64 CB77... unless something else catches my eye.
Thanks for your thoughts.
3030, I looked at the same guy and talked to him via e-mail. Couldn't go look at the bike 'cause I'm in SAV, but got some pictures from him. By the time I asked told him I would like more pics he had sold it.
Found one all the way up in Boston that I was going to have a buddy of mine hold for me for $400 complete, but not running. Guy backed out. Finally found a CL77 basket case for $250 in NC. Was going to have to take time off work to go get it, but I think I found someone from NC to deliver it for $100 plus gas. Anyway, give me a shout on my email. It'd be nice to have someone somewhat close by for encouragement, help, etc. dukenuk81 at hotmail dot com
