Check out the After Market (APEX) parts on this bike. Also look at the CL77 KICK START LEVER. Would ya bid much for it?. ....................LM

Offers that describe the bike like that one did cause me to take a really good look to see if it is as good as the seller says it is. Finding that much APEX After Market parts on it and then seeing the CL72/77 Kick Lever and Cover really makes me wonder what else is there that is not being mentioned by the seller. I mention good/bad bikes to the list because I hope that where there is one like that one no one on this list will pay a lot for a bike as that one is. ......................lm

There's one in the January 2008 issue of Walneck's on page 112 -- 1965 SuperHawk in 'great condition' for $ 4000.00. Just looking at the small black and white photo I can tell that the mufflers, shocks aren't correct, the side covers look odd, and Lord knows what else is going on with it. Now I guess I should talk because of all the weirdness that I've done to mine, but at least I'm not attempting to pass it off as original (not that either one of these fellows are necessarily saying that), though I do have all the original parts if I decided to sell it somewhere down the line. Buyer beware, as they say?

As an aside, I belong to a camera discussion group online, and the same thing with cameras happens on eBay, with supposed 'I know nothing about cameras' folks selling 'Leica' cameras that are actually Russian copies, but really only those who know the particulars of each model would know the difference. I'm sure the same thing happens with furniture, clocks, and of course vintage cars.
