Semitubular rivets on footpegs

Post by Tim Allman » Thu Jun 23, 2016 4:44 pm

For some reason the general export CB77/72 has footpegs which are not hinged but the USA model pegs fold back. The rivet used in the pegs is a semitubular rivet although I don't know its size. I would like to disassemble my footpegs, replate them and reassemble but finding suitable rivets and a tool to set them seems to be a bit a bit of a problem, especially given that they will be a metric size (which of course I will know after removing the rivets).

Does anyone have any experience doing this or know of a supplier? Or, is this something that a machine shop could deal with? Or, should I be looking elsewhere?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you plate with zinc or cad they don't need to be taken apart. ...................lm
