Will saddlebag hardware for a Dream fit a Superhawk?

Post by 3030vision » Thu Feb 01, 2007 10:20 pm

I've been looking around for saddlebag hardware for my 65 or 66 Superhawk. Will the hardware for a Dream fit without modification?

Thanks!

Unfortunately the bikes don't share much more than the outside of the engine and the tail light bulb in common. And since saddlebag hardware doesn't attach to either one of those, the answer is no.
I've seen some universal kits, but the number of bikes in that universe seems pretty small and inbred. They also fit each one of those bikes as universally as poorly!

you must be talking about the movie "Roustabout"...what exactly was that on his bike? looks more like a luggage rack. a rare accessory , or custom made for the movie?

Honda's old accessory catalog lists a god awful hideous set of bags, and it's no wonder you never see them. Thank god for the aftermarket. Here's a pic of my 64 as it appeared back in the day with a set of Buco "Rocket" bags. It's in sad shape at the moment, but restoration is due any time now.
