Help with 1965 super hawk cb77

Post by ParaBohn » Fri Mar 28, 2025 9:59 pm

Hello, I’m new to the bike scene, I got a bike to fix, I bought a 1965 Honda Super Hawk cb77 custom chopper, it has different forks, tank and seat, the previous owner did give me the original tank as well, he bought this cb77 from a guy who dragged in the 60’s and said he haven’t riding it since the early 70’s all work was done by him, I’m trying to pinpoint what bikes or who makes these forks and what bike did the tank come off of it bolted right up that’s all I know below is the pics of it, so far I got the headlight housing, left and right controls, all 4 turn signals, new battery, kick start gear, cluster, all new brake, clutch and speedo/rpm cables, whole new wiring harness since a lot of the wires were cut or chewed… and is there a way to get the mufflers back to chrome they are very rusted, same with the forks but all still very solid, but I would love to get the forks and exhaust and engine to shine again, the engine isn’t rust it’s just very dull and since I don’t know what the gas tank is I can’t find a gas cap for it, I ordered $1,000 in parts so far, I want to worry about getting it to start and run before worrying about the body, but I would like to get the rust taken care of before all the parts comes in the mail, cause once everything comes I’m going to want to put it all together
