Cam Chain timing questing

Post by SUperhawk_Clark » Sun Jul 15, 2012 8:29 pm

When you set the cam chain with the camshaft set at the punch mark, that looks like a 0 stamped into it with the pointers lined up to T on the stator. Is that the location when you set the valves or is it a rotation past that on the stator markings?

In other words in the camshaft punch mark and the stator T mark lined up at the ignition stroke and then 360 stator rotation past that the exhaust mark?

Thank you

Turn rotor 360 degrees (line on end of points cam is now down) and set right side.
Turn 180 degrees and set left side. ..........lm
