67 CA160 runs good for 5 min then revs up and stalls HELPplz

I have been slowly working on making this bike my daily driver but there is something wrong, Ziggy, that's what I call her, will run great for about 5 mins then rev up and stall.

I have rebuilt the carb and petcock and cleaned the gas tank. My uncle says it might be when the ignition coil gets hot its failing.

Has anyone ever had this problem?, and if so how did you fix it???

forgot to let y'all know when I pop start the bike it will run for a few more mins then rev up and stall again

Have you checked you fuel cap? If the small vent hole gets plugged it will act like that. Run it with the cap loose and see what happens.

I am probably sure that the carbs runs emty. see if there is flow out of the fuel tap. If so, take off the bowl and see if it flows thru the float valves.
