Replacement Metal Cap/Nut for CB72 Coil ?

Post by Phil-UK » Sun May 01, 2011 5:58 pm

Hi

For CB72/77s - has anyone found an alternative replacement for the thin metal nut/cap that screws onto the ignition coil and holds the HT lead in ?
I have a pair of coils that seem OK but one has no nut ( gland nut ? ) and on the other one it has almost completely corroded through. Will anything from a later one fit .. are they the same thread on all Japanese ignition coils that have removable HT leads ?

thanks

Phil

I used the plastic ones from Wemoto. See their description below.
Ignition Coil Cap Set to fit 713788 713790 713791 713793
They work fine. Didn't want to spend a lifetime looking for the original metal ones.....

Thanks ... they are only about 15 miles away so I'll pick some up once the water subsides !
