spark plug capsHello Jensen, my first CB77, purchased new from the local dealer in February 1963, had this style of spark plug cap installed on it. I no longer have the VIN number, but it was probably produced in later 1962, having the short taillight lens (not the early type with the angled sides). Regards, Chase
Hi,
Thank you very much for that information, you are the second US citizen who pointed out my wrong assumption. I think the markets (US and Europe) differ more then we now. Again, thank you for this valuable piece if info, make the info more complete , Jesnen assembly of Japanese motorcycles requires great peace of mind (Pirsig)
Test em.Don't know if these caps have resistors in them but if not check them any ways. Gone plenty of rounds with coils wires and caps and found the caps to be the weakest link. Should have almost no resistance once cleaned up and internals on either end should be tight to avoid open readings. If you go with electronic ignition then NGK 5k caps will be in order. Stock resistor caps from other models are another option but I trash them if they read over 9k.
