if you have no spark, wheres the best place to start looking

i'd start at the points..and see if they are not cruded up/burnt/worn out. make sure they are opening and closing proberly.check for proper gap. then check to see if you are getting power to the points. check all the wires ...there may be a crack

you may also want to try another spark plug , it may be bad

is the battery fully charged?

if this doesn't do it , it could be a bad coil or spark plug wire.....or even a shorted condensor , kinda unlikely but possible

what bike?

right side of the engine , on the head above the spark plug there is a cover held on by two screws..under that
