Another scam
Another scamI had an ad pop up on Facebook for an incredible tool for removing rust and paint. This laser device actually does exists and every restorer would love to own one but, and it's a big but, they cost over $40,000 for the hand held device up to $80,000 for the big ones. Anyway the ad suggests that they are selling these tools for $26 reduced from $89. Worth checking out the actual device on you tube though, you won't believe how effective this laser tool is.
Hi Graham, they are really impressive bits of kit, apparently invented by a Belgium guy. What I can't get my head round is when they run the lazer over a hand and leave the outline of the hand visible on the remaining rust. I've seen the same scam advert pop up several times but each time with a different seller. If you haven't already looked, check the real item out on YouTube.
Thanks
I'll take a look. Graham

I've seen the ads but couldn't , in all honesty, believe the price of around $40, so I looked into it a bit more closely. Clicking on the 'buy now', 'learn more' button brings up a number of additional videos, one of which shows a label with the name, CleanLaser, Google that, and it brings up the German manufacturers site and the self same machine will be found there. A little more investigation will reveal a price in excess of $5000, and I think there is still a bulky power supply to purchase on top, and this crowd are asking $39.99 with free shipping, I think not!
