Mudflap??

Post by modelman » Wed Feb 28, 2018 3:36 am

My front guard came to me like this, but that's an easy fix, but the two holes?
Looking at Casamers bike last week I was told it was for a mudflap, so how does that work then?
Does that little internal rubber 'flap' REALLY do anything, I get the impression that any spray will hit that & run down just the same as if it hit the fender, or is it some sort of diffuser?
I could understand a conventional 'downward' flap, although it would look weird.

Maybe it's really supposed to be a mud "scraper"?
