Original silencers

Post by modelman » Wed Mar 09, 2016 10:49 am

I replaced the original silencers with new David Silver repos & forgot about them, I'd stored them in the repo boxes, just found them, they are 100% sound & solid, no rust as such, no dents but one has tarmac-rash on the underside where its been down the road.
Had I not been able to replace them, they would have gone for re-chroming, they could have gone back on at a push as they're not that bad at all.
Is there a market for them, or do I sling-em??

Gosh no, don't trash them. I could use them if they're not too pricey. Send me a PM.

Feel free to sling-em onto my bike. They're nicer than the ones I have on it.

I have a set of NOS pipes so I don't need them. However, consider that original parts are getting scarcer all the time. Keep them in your kitchen if you need to because some day someone will be incredibly happy to get them, even if they are not perfect.

The left pillion rest is interesting, is that to save wearing your shock unit out? :)
