Seat restoration

Post by choctaw » Sat Jan 02, 2016 2:19 pm

I have begain the job of rebuilding my seat on my 1966 ca77. I have taken the seat completely apart. I will have pan, sandblasted and repainted. I carefully removed the old cushion on the back side and the top cushion piece. I wont use it again (bad shape) but kept for dimension purposed. My question is what would be a great cushion material to replace with? what about memory foam. I would appreciate all comments. thank you.( p.s. I have already purchased a very high quality seat cover with Honda logo embossed on back).thanks again.

You should take a look at www.sunmatecushions.com They have a number of densities of foam in various thicknesses. They also have a link to a guy that makes custom seats who has a lot of experience using their products. They will send you samples for free.

You would have to cut you own foam but, I think you could make an extremely comfortable seat with their foam and information.

Best wishes on your project.
