Right Side Engine Cover

Post by silverclerk@gmail.com » Fri Nov 19, 2010 10:05 am

When did Honda change the right side engine cover? I see in the parts fiche there are two parts listed, 11330-268-020 and 11330-268-030. I see that they are nor interchangeable but I don'tknow how to tell which one I need. Thanks.

I'm a noob to these bikes, but armed with Bill Silver's books, I'm becoming a legend in my own mind.

Assuming from the 268 in the part number that this is for a CB77, according to Silver's book:

"The right side cover was modified (along with the clutch cable, spring, joint) at CB72E-1002651, CB77E-1002357, relocating the joint forward for more support. The remaining kickstart parts were unchanged, although earlier kickstart arms were slimmer than later ones."

Hope this helps.
