Rear Brake Cable Length

Post by 48lesco » Fri Sep 17, 2010 11:06 pm

Put a NOS OEM rear brake cable on tonight and it was too long at 33-1/2". Couldn't take up enough slack at the pedal. I checked it against the original that was on the bike, and the original was about 3/4" shorter overall and the conduit was the same length. Works fine with the old one. All the new ones I see are 33-1/2" long. All punch marks are lined up, plenty of brake shoe left. What's going on???
