Removing paint from engine case

Post by bass-o-matic » Mon May 19, 2008 11:53 am

So, I got a right side engine case off eBay... looks good but someone painted it silver. I know a guy with a mediablaster (you know who you are) but if I got a wild hair and decided to remove the paint myself... Is there a correct way to do it with paint thinner or something that won't mess up the aluminum?

Thanks

I used paint stripper on mine this past Saturday. Left side was stubborn for some reason, took several applications.
