Shortening Speedo Cable

I agree with loud mouse on the lithium grease.I've been using it on speedo cables on cars and bikes for 30 years.Works great and never a problem.

Cool, I'll put a dab on each.

Still would like to know if I should shorten the speedo cable more to try and eliminate the wavering of the speedo pin b/w 0-10mph. It's not the accuracy I care about, only that the Foreign Speedo guys told me that wavering because of a stretched, too-long cable will reduce speedo drive life.

Got it, grease the whole cable, I thought you were only referring to the tip of the cable where it fits into the speedo unit. Thanks LM.
