I had purchased two of the IMPEX brand H-37260-268-020 CB-72/77 tachometer cables from Retrobikes during their closeout sale. Finally had a chance to check them over. The seal at the engine end was installed facing the wrong way (no big issue), but the cable end housing it presses into is machined .100" too deep. This results in no seal preload against the end surface of the drive on the engine, causing a somewhat messy oil leak. I machined up an aluminum spacer with .500" OD, .250" ID, .100" thick. Installed into the cable housing, the seal edge now protrudes about .005", sealing properly against the drive housing on the engine when the hex is tightened. Just thought I'd let folks know in case they might have one of these. Perhaps IMPEX has corrected later production, as other vendors distribute them, but? Regards, Chase
