side covers

I have purchase two left side battery covers for my 1964 Honda dream 305. Neither one fits. The first one needs to be cut away to fit over the wires. The second one fits, however part of the right side of the lower battery is showing. Does anyone know if the battery showing is normal? It only shows about an inch by two inches. Are all the years different side covers. There are so many right side covers but vey few left side covers for sale.

I am looking for a left side (battery) cover for a 1966 CA78 so if one of yours is unmodified I will be interested, I have an earlier one which may fit your bike.

The engine number for my bike is CA 77E 103256 and the frame number is CA 78 103331. One cover that I purchased was for a 1965 dream 305 and that is the one that fits somewhat although the bottom right side battery shows. The other one I think is from a later model. Both are unmodified, and very solid. One was bought on auction and one was purchased outright. I would be interested in yours if it fit my bike.

Does your cover look like this? I used a battery the same size (approx) as the WISCO J-2. I DO NOT see ANY PART of the battery corner sticking out. IF you would like better pics or measurements, give me your email through the PM to make it easier.
