What blast media

Post by jugger18 » Sun Nov 16, 2014 7:11 pm

I just built a workbench. My dear old mother just bought me one of the benchtop harbor freight blast cabinets. What media should I use?. This will be used in the basement so health concerns are there. It will mostly be used for stripping paint and rust on small parts of the cb77. I would like to avoid switching media as much as possible.

I had one of the bench tops but now have the cabinet. Make sure you have a vacuum dust control system on it.I know some people use a shop vac for that but I never tried it. For most parts I use 80 grit glass beads. It removes paint and rust really well with out a rough finish. A good volume of air and moisture control are also a must.
