Mig will also work, put a paddle behind the area to be welded, tac it high, then low, then high, and continue until the tac meets in the middle.

If you really want it done to look the best, you will have to grind the weld, surface the area smooth with grinders, sanders, files, sandpaper etc. sand the entire piece, or sandblast it after you weld, then prime, sand and paint.

TIG would be best. Also, weld a doubler inside for additional strength. Regards, Chase

try calling a repair shop that does car exhaust and ask if they can TIG it for you tigging it will cause zero to no warping if done right. but its a very easy fix, nothing to be worried about
