He keeps coming up with arguments and tries to put the blame on me.
I got an manual on C77 , full of information but not rimsize?
Never seen such a bad manual, no wonder you get in trouble like this.

Found a restorer on Ebay who put new rims on a C77 too, but he only wants to answer my email about rimsize and brand if i pay him 35 bucks?
Maybe you meet he nicest people on a Honda but not when you try to restore it.

Anyone of you so-called experts who can answer this simple rim question?
Appreciate it....

Mike

What is your simple rim question exactly?

If you need to know what a C72 rim should be it is a 1.85inch (WM2) width x 16inch diameter, drilled to match your hub given the dimensions in Central Wheel Components 'rim ordering procedure'

http://www.central-wheel.co.uk/rims/rim ... edure.html

You need to measure the width of the hub where the spoke holes are and the diameter of the hub where the spokes fit.

If you want to know what the difference is between a Dream (C72) and Benly (C95) rim it will be only in the hub diameter and width, which is why your hub does not fit the spokes and rim properly.

You cannot alter what you have bought to fit your hub so you will have to start again.

At last, that was the answer i was looking for!!
Read a lot about 3.25 x 16 tyres and concluded it maybe would be a 2,15 rim.
This really helps a lot!

Too bad i have to start all over again, could have had a good rim by now instead of the one of that crappy Thai seller who has only his own wallet in mind....

Thank you very much!

Mike

Beware - the width of a rim is the inside dimension not the outside dimension. Your rim will almost 70mm at its widest (outside) point.
