new owner needs some help!

Post by burkholder » Mon Jan 01, 2007 11:27 pm

hello everybody, i found your site while looking for parts on google. I want to first start by making my dream mechanically sound. I am having trouble finding mufflers, white-wall tires, and a air cleaner. Can anybody help? Thanks :)

coker has the whitewall tires..for an air cleaner , keep looking on ebay.

as for mufflers , there was just a discussion on the repo exhaust from Apex Cycle....the opinions where not good .NOS mufflers are crazy in price , your best bet would probabilly look for some good used ones..check ebay again

I found the tires and already have them on order :) I checked the discussion on the mufflers and i am going to keep looking. As for apex i noticed that they had a lot of other parts for the bike, are they any good? I didn't know if you didnt like the company or just the mufflers. thanks again!

i've had no dealings with Apex , so i have no opinion on them...i was just relaying what was said about their exhaust system only. my own Dream will need an exhaust system someday soon....i tig welded some patchs on the very bottom . and then painted the bottoms with stainlees steel paint. you can't see the repair from the top , only if you get down on your knees . it quited it down , but as you know if you have one pin hole , you will soon have many more.

i have dealt with Ohio Cycles in the past and recieved what i paid for in a timely manner

i have also bought some small parts from a guy on ebay that goes by "Brenbike" ...clutch and brake handles, etc

i'm sure others will jump in with their opinions

Take a look here
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Asian-honda-Seller .

Mufflers
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRAND-NEW-HONDA-C ... dZViewItem : $102

Header pipes
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Honda-SUPERHAWK-C ... dZViewItem : $55

Don't know if that's expensive for you guys in USA, but they are out there. Seems quite cheap to me.

Regards,
Steve
