VJMC or VJMEC?

Post by 305 » Thu Nov 23, 2006 8:53 pm

i hope i'm not stirring things up...

about 10 years ago i joined the vjmc, i thought it was ok , the newsletter had some interesting stuff...but i couldn't see and real reason to continue , everything that was happening was a lot of miles from me in minnesota. so i dropped out after one year

i had heard they went out of business

last spring at a motorcycle auction there was a guy signing up members for the NEW VJEMC..so i did. got my first issue of their magazine "The Scrambler" on monday..kinda interesting , but no real groundbreaking stuff .other than a membership card and a 6 times a year magazine , i can't see any benefit to it

now i see that the vjmc is still aorund too

now i see that the BOTH have websites with some classifed ads , some tech..and not a lot of activity on either 's site

so tell me...am i looking at this wrong? who belongs to these clubs? and why? who got the new Scramber? why should i belong to either club? which is better?...and why are there TWO clubs?

thank you for any opinions you care to share with me

I joined VJEMC also. They were at the swap in Iola. The membership included a t-shirt, calendar, magazine subscription, special rates for swap spaces, and who knows what else for $20. I thought it was an ok deal. The "Scrambler" magazine was ok for a first issue but I do hope it gets a little better.
