Anyone have feedback about CB77 cheap-seat they bought from overseas? I need to make a decision soon.

Thanks much!

Hi,

I have bought one, because some people here in the Netherlands think it's fun to cut a seat with a knife (happened to me). I put this seat on when I'm going to park the bike somewhere were I can expect such behavior. It's not good, not bad, just doing what it's made for, but I don't know for how long. The pan is thinner than the original, so is the upholstery. It's cheap and it shows, but it's as comfy as the original.

I bought a blue one as an interim solution for my CB77. Ditto what Jensen said.

Thanks for the replies guys ... as I expected, you get what you pay for ... but then again, it's good enough for who it's for.

And I do like that I can get one in red :)) I hadn't thought of vandalism, but that is a valid point Jensen.

Hi,

My neither, but found out the hard way a few years ago.
Not only my seat was cut, also at least 50 or 60 other bikes.

And that was at Belgium, on an classic race day,

I broke down. The seat pan looks like it was run over by a semi. About 7-8 areas of cracking and metal fatigue damage. I'm good on the brazing, but this will require lots of "doublers" to buttress the weakened areas. Pass.

Anyone want it? Free for shipping.

I bought the ebay red seat from asia. Good enough for who it's for. Pics soon.
