Back then you could get either from JC Whitney for low bucks.

I'd forgotten about screw on fork tube extensions. Those things always sent a chill down my spine so I never gave them much thought when I wrecked my bikes by "customizing them" in my youth.

What are screw on fork extensions? Im kind of new to vintage motorcycles so some of this stuff ive never heard of. Thanks

These were a cheap way to lengthen the fork tubes. Bascially, the were very long fork tube plugs that replaced the top plugs in the tube to give you more tube length. Just a bad idea right from the start.

Ok thats what i thought. So how did the they do the extensions on this bike though? It does'nt have those extensions like that, i checked to make sure. Did somebody make a kit to do this? Thanks for the replys , They're much appreciated

Also i forgot to mention i did look at the numbers on the bike. Its a 1964 Cl72 frame with a cb77 motor on it. I really have the bike cleaned up now, it has little to no rust on it at all and ive got most of it polished. Everything has cleaned up extremely well all accept the back wheel, thats the roughest part on the bike, other than that alot of it looks like brand new.
