front brake torque lock washers

Post by neale didcock » Mon Jul 26, 2010 5:37 am

Greetings all, Does anyone know a source of the CB77 front brake torque arm lock washers for the two retaining bolts ?
I have tried a number of places without any luck , the common available type just look wrong , perhaps I 'm being a bit of an ' anorak '.
All the best to you all, Cheers Neale[/code]

Hi Neale

I managed to pick some NOS ones up at a VJMC autojumble, but have also made some up out of thin stainless sheet ( the stuff with paper stuck on one side ) that I got from one of the steel/alloy stockists at Kempton autojumble.
First attempts were a bit rough but later ones were fine - cut them using tin-snips and the filing the edges down. Found leaving the paper one helped reduce marks.

cheers

Phil
