Alternative to CA77 sidecovers?

Post by FletcherMunson » Wed Sep 09, 2009 8:25 am

Howdy, I'm looking for some possible advise/ opinion. I recently got my ca77 running to the point where I'll be putting it on the road soon. One of the few things that I still need to sort out is the fact that I still have no sidecovers (insert sad face here). I figure since the battery/electronics are kind of important and probably should spend as little time open to the elements as possible, and sidecovers for these are not easy to come by, I'll just substitute! I have a few ideas involving things like cut down waste cans and tupperware...Does anyone offhand know of a plausible substitute here? For instance, if the sidecovers from a 1962 Spagthorpe Wolfhound are a similar shape/fitment then that info would be appreciated. I've been looking around in my own collection of crap but so far nothing I have found is BIG enough.
