Experience with online dealers

Post by Greggie-e » Thu Sep 25, 2008 12:52 am

Hi,
I have just started restoring my CA77 and a C92 and have noticed big differences in pricing, quality and service from a lot of online dealers.
I think it would be handy to have a place where people can post their experience with various online dealers in old Honda parts.

So far I have dealt with
The good
The Benly Shop - http://www.thebenlyshop.com/ - Ron is great, he shipped a whole bike out to Australia for me. A process that took a while (due to shipping), his communication was great and he could not do enough for me, went well beyond expectations.

CMS - http://www.cmsnl.com/ - good communication, swift and reliable service, quality parts, can be expensive especially shipping to Australia from the Netherlands

The Bad
Speed Supplies - http://www.speedsupplies.com/ - I ordered parts on the 6th of August, then was billed twice for them. I have received nothing yet. Not even an answer to the 6 emails and 2 phone calls I have made. I have reported them to Mastercard and asked them to get a refund back from the dealer. A search on the net, which I should have done before I ordered, shows that I am not the only one with issues.

Beware of Tom at Apex cycle parts. Second rate parts and an extremely bad attitude if He makes a mistake. His customer service amounts to lies, insults and childish name calling.[/b]
